Kahlua

mainkahlua

Kahlua is a very special 18 year old Appaloosa Mare. Kahlua has won the hearts of trainers, clients, and children alike. Kahlua is partially blind, although don’t tell HER that.  Nothing stops this mare; she has even stared down the face of a charging mountain lion. Kahlua was also pushed off a cliff with her rider, and kept the presence of mind to pull a young girl back up on the trail who was hanging over the edge by the reins & bit in her mouth. Kahlua competes with the heart of a champion in every event that she participates. Kahlua has competed in Gymkhana, Ride & Tie, Endurance, Cowboy Challenges & Show Jumping. Currently, Bethany Pappani is learning to jump with Kahlua & Tracey Martino!  Everyone can learn from Kahlua, about strength, about bravery, about devotion, and about faith in yourself and your capabilities. Reins on Manes is proud to announce Kahlua as a fundamental team member.  With her incredible heart and strength, she will continue to inspire every rider she meets, and every heart she touches.

Kahlua's Testimonials

"Kahlua is a 18 year old Appaloosa mare who loves to go. I have never rode her myself but she has helped me learn to groom and give the horse a bath. I cannot imagine what Bethany would do without her!" - Sedona, Age 12

"I talked with Farlin about Kahlua; she told me that she got to go in her corral & hang bags from the trees to teach her not to be afraid of them and spook, and how they get close to her without invading her space.  How they walk in a bit, and stop, and if her ears are perked up and she is looking their way, come a little closer.  She said Kahlua has a very 'calm' feeling to her and she whinnies at Farlin when she passes her corral.  She said Kahlua likes girls." - Mother of Farlin, Age 9
