Teddy joined the Reins on Manes family in January 2010. As a new resident of San Diego, Reins on Manes would like to welcome Teddy and her sister Renee! Originally from New York, Teddy’s immense strength and endless faith inspires everyone she meets. Teddy finds peace in the saddle. Her time spent with Isiss and other equine team members allows her to creatively express herself and of course, gives lots of smiles along the way. Teddy and Renee’s mother was involved with horses, instilling a passion in each of them just waiting to be fueled by opportunity. Reins on Manes is proud to provide Teddy with endless horsemanship opportunities and enriching experiences. Teddy's Progress

Teddy has been learning a lot here at Windfall Ranch. Horses are in Teddy’s heart, each time she interacts with them, she finds her smile. Teddy has been learning to groom the horses completely unassisted, and has been practicing saddling with the help of Bethany and student mentors Olivia and Sedona. Teddy enjoys riding with new-found friends Olivia and Sedona, as well as her sister Renee. The girls are able to interact as they groom the horses and share their “horsey ideas.” Teddy has been learning with to trot with instructor Bethany Pappani in the arena. Teddy is dedicated to finding her balance in the saddle and gains courage and confidence each time she rides. We look forward to facilitating positive experiences for Teddy, allowing her the freedom to do what feels best, be in the saddle!

 

1How To Groom: Teddy is practicing saddling procedures with Isiss, learning the parts of the saddle.

2How To Ride: Teddy is currently gaining confidence in the saddle, finding her balance, and having fun!

3Proper Safety Precautions: Teddy has completed our “Safety Training Lesson” and is learning how to safely mount and dismount from her buddy Isiss.
