Sedona

intro_sedona

Sedona joined the Reins on Manes family during the summer of 2009. Although Sedona has been around horses since preschool, she never really learned how to ride until meeting Bethany Pappani and Reins on Manes. The horsemanship program has enabled Sedona to gain confidence in the saddle and courage in her capability as a rider. Sedona loves horses, coming out to Windfall Ranch is her favorite thing to do. She also loves cooking, caring for younger children, and animals. Sedona dreams of owning her own horse one day and Reins on Manes will work to provide Sedona with the knowledge and experience she needs to make her dreams a reality. Sedona is a big helper here at Reins on Manes, already mentoring younger students and helping trainer Bethany Pappani in any way that she can. Thank you Sedona!

Sedona's Progress

Sedona is a very capable young woman. In just a few lessons, Sedona had learned how to groom her horse unassisted, including hoof cleaning, bathing procedures, and mane and tail care. Sedona is able to lead and tie her horse safely, as well as approach her equine partner correctly in the paddock. Sedona has worked one-on-one with our miniature horses Ricochet and Bobbie, exercising, grooming, and caring for them alongside her sister Olivia. Sedona has been able to gain the confidence she sought as she builds relationships with Reins on Manes horses, learning to trust, communicate, and be courageous. Sedona rides unassisted in the arena and is currently learning to canter with trainer Bethany Pappani. Sedona has recently started building her confidence out on the trail as well. Check back for updates as Sedona continues to learn about horse ownerships responsibilities, and continues to build relationships at Reins on Manes!

1How To Groom: Sedona is able to safely groom her horse from head to toe. Great Job Sedona!

2How To Ride: Sedona is gaining confidence in the saddle as she picks up the pace and learns to canter!

3Proper Safety Precautions: Sedona has completed our “Safety Training Lesson” and is currently mentoring younger students here at Reins on Manes.
