Farlin

intro_farlin

Farlin joined the Reins on Manes family in December 2009.  Farlin’s love and dedication to horses began as a small child. Her mother’s experiences and stories shared with Farlin have impacted her life forever. Farlin’s gentle spirit is one-of-a-kind! She frequently visits horses living in her neighborhood of Descanso, armed with pockets of carrots and apples, just enjoying the time spent with the animals. This amazing little girl is extremely smart and capable, proudly learning at the top of her 3rd grade class! When Farlin isn’t reading her favorite book, she can be found out on the soccer field kicking goals or building spectacular forts in her backyard. Farlin does it all, and with her favorite horses here at Reins on Manes, her progress has been remarkable. Check back for updates as Farlin’s horse dreams unfold here at Reins on Manes. Great Job Farlin!

Farlin's Progress

Farlin has learned how to groom our equine members, as well as saddling and bridling procedures. Farlin has recently learned how to bathe both Kahlua and Isiss, and works with dedication to braid their beautiful manes and comb out their tails. Farlin has been learning in the arena with trainer Bethany and wish horse Isiss, riding unassisted and with ease.  Farlin recently began her adventures out on the trail, having the time of her life and all the while strengthening her bond with her horse and her fondness for equestrian living and dedication.

1How To Groom: Farlin has learned how to gently braid Isiss’ mane and comb her long tail safely.

2How To Ride: Farlin is currently learning how to trot in the arena. We are so proud of her progress!

3Proper Safety Precautions: Farlin has completed our “Safety Training Lesson” and knows how to safely approach her equine partner in the paddock.
