Teddy

Teddy joined the Reins on Manes family in January 2010. As a new resident of San Diego, Reins on Manes would like to welcome Teddy and her sister Renee! Originally from New York, Teddy’s immense strength and endless faith inspires everyone she meets. Teddy finds peace in the saddle. Her time spent with Isiss and other equine team members allows her to creatively express herself and of course, gives lots of smiles along the way. Teddy and Renee’s mother was involved with horses, instilling a passion in each of them just waiting to be fueled by opportunity. Reins on Manes is proud to provide Teddy with endless horsemanship opportunities and enriching experiences. Mckenna

Mckenna joined the Reins on Manes family in December 2008.  Her participation in the program with her cousin Dylan has given the family the chance of a lifetime. This young rider has the sweetest heart, just like Isiss. It’s not unusual that they immediately discovered their bond over one year ago. Isiss enjoys Mckenna’s patient requests and kind cues. For over a year now Isiss has made Mckenna’s dreams come true, giving her the chance to sit proudly in the saddle. We continue to be amazed by Mckenna’s gentle spirit and by the amazing connection she holds with Isiss. Together these two stand strong as one, and will continue to achieve their goals and inspire one another with a bond only they understand.

Dylan

Dylan joined the Reins on Manes family in December 2008.  Dylan has always talked about riding horses but never had the chance to do so.  Dylan’s participation in the Reins on Manes program with his cousin Mckenna has given this family the chance of a lifetime. Dylan’s mother is visually disabled and never really gets to interact in Dylan’s activities. Reins on Manes has given them the chance to spend time together doing something Dylan loves. Dylan’s favorite part of the program is trail riding, or as he calls it, “Free Riding.” He looks forward to spending more time out on the trail and more time with his mom at Windfall Ranch, truly making a great difference in his life.

Olivia

Olivia joined the Reins on Manes family during the summer of 2009. Although Olivia has been around horses since the toddler years, she didn’t learn how to ride until meeting Reins on Manes. The horsemanship program has enabled Olivia to focus better and maintain her self-control. Visiting Windfall Ranch is Olivia’s favorite thing to do. She also loves cooking, rollerblading, and creating homemade cards to bring smiles to people’s faces. Olivia has a heart of gold and a personality larger than life! Reins on Manes will work to provide Olivia with positive horsemanship experiences and endless opportunities. Olivia is a big helper here at Reins on Manes, already mentoring younger students and helping trainer Bethany Pappani in any way that she can. Thank you Olivia!

Farlin

Farlin joined the Reins on Manes family in December 2009.  Farlin’s love and dedication to horses began as a small child. Her mother’s experiences and stories shared with Farlin have impacted her life forever. Farlin’s gentle spirit is one-of-a-kind! She frequently visits horses living in her neighborhood of Descanso, armed with pockets of carrots and apples, just enjoying the time spent with the animals. This amazing little girl is extremely smart and capable, proudly learning at the top of her 3rd grade class! When Farlin isn’t reading her favorite book, she can be found out on the soccer field kicking goals or building spectacular forts in her backyard. Farlin does it all, and with her favorite horses here at Reins on Manes, her progress has been remarkable. Check back for updates as Farlin’s horse dreams unfold here at Reins on Manes. Sedona

Sedona joined the Reins on Manes family during the summer of 2009. Although Sedona has been around horses since preschool, she never really learned how to ride until meeting Bethany Pappani and Reins on Manes. The horsemanship program has enabled Sedona to gain confidence in the saddle and courage in her capability as a rider. Sedona loves horses, coming out to Windfall Ranch is her favorite thing to do. She also loves cooking, caring for younger children, and animals. Sedona dreams of owning her own horse one day and Reins on Manes will work to provide Sedona with the knowledge and experience she needs to make her dreams a reality. Sedona is a big helper here at Reins on Manes, already mentoring younger students and helping trainer Bethany Pappani in any way that she can. Thank you Sedona!

Alayna

Alayna joined the Reins on Manes family in January 2010. As a new resident of San Diego, Reins on Manes would like to welcome Alayna. Originally from Texas, this caring, smart girl has spent years in an English saddle, turning heads at local competitions. Circumstances beyond her control limited her riding upon arriving to San Diego. But Reins on Manes has given this opportunity back to Alayna, allowing her the freedom to do what she does best, ride horses! Alayna is dedicated to her studies, and although she is only in the 6th grade, she hopes to become a veterinarian. This amazing rider also aspires to open a rescue organization for neglected and abused horses! Reins on Manes hopes to provide Alayna with knowledge and experience so that she will one day make her dreams a reality. Alayna’s favorite horse back in Texas was, “Oscar.” Alayna worked for years developing a relationship with “the horse no one wanted to ride.” She misses Oscar every day and hopes that she’ll see him again one day.

Elly

Elly joined the Reins on Manes family in February 2010. She is a wonderful addition to our organization! Elly is very studious and loves reading. Elly has a vivid imagination and loves to socialize. Her personality lights up the arena, drawing in children, adults, and horses alike. Elly is at times cautious with new experiences. Her involvement with Reins on Manes has been a milestone. Elly has been courageous and willing to try this new experience with Bethany Pappani and her trusted team of horses. Elly enjoys coming out to Windfall Ranch to ride the horses all on her own, proving to herself that she can do anything she puts her heart into. We are so proud of Elly for taking the plunge and being open to trusting the Reins on Manes team. Baela

Baela joined the Reins on Manes family over the summer of 2009.   During her first horseback riding lesson it became clear this little girl belongs in the saddle. Her natural presence around the horses and ease in finding her balance in the saddle has enabled her to move quickly through our horsemanship program. Baela really enjoys riding Isiss, her favorite horse here at Reins on Manes. Baela loves to share Isiss with her baby brother Aiden and hopes he can ride her one day when he grows up. Baela also loves to have her photo taken with the horses. Her personality is larger than life! Smiles always surround Baela! Together her and Isiss will continue to build their relationship, one Baela has always dreamed of.

Cade

Cade joined the Reins on Manes family in December 2008. His first horseback riding lesson was full of smiles. Cade’s smile is truly contagious! Cade has really enjoyed his opportunity to ride horses! For the past two years, Cade has claimed when he grows up he’s going to have to move away so he can be a cowboy and have lots of horses and have a big ranch for his horses.  Cade is a very happy and caring child always thinking of others and trying to help everyone, he visits his great grandparents everyday and loves to help them with things. We are so fortunate to interact with this remarkable young man.

Renee

Renee joined the Reins on Manes family in January 2010. As a new resident of San Diego, Reins on Manes would like to welcome Renee and her sister Teddy! Originally from New York, Renee’s spark for life inspires everyone she meets. Renee’s presence around horses is natural and welcoming, allowing her to easily build connections with equine team members. Renee finds her balance in the saddle with ease, and is already learning to Trot! Renee and Teddy’s mother was involved with horses, instilling a passion in each of them just waiting to be fueled by opportunity. Reins on Manes is proud to provide Renee with endless horsemanship opportunities and enriching experiences. Essence

Essence joined the Reins on Manes family in December 2009.  In one sentence, Essence loves horses. She joined our program with the goal of learning more about horses and how to care for them. She enjoys every minute she spends at Windfall Ranch learning with her favorite horse, Isiss. Essence is an amazing daughter and sister, proudly bringing her parents, two younger brothers, and younger sister with her to Reins on Manes to share in her experiences. Essence is a model student and always helps around the house. Her family is very proud of her. Ariana

Ariana joined the Reins on Manes family in January 2010.  Ariana has owned two horses since she was eight years. She absolutely loves animals and strives to take the best care all her pets. Ariana wasn’t able to enjoy the feelings of freedom and courage in the saddle until she met Reins on Manes. With patience and dedication, Ariana has gained confidence in her riding ability and confidence in the ability to communicate with her horses! We are so proud of all of her progress and look forward to her amazing future at Reins on Manes. Ariana is at the top of her class at Descanso Middle School, receiving the Presidential Award at 6th grade graduation. When Ariana is not out enjoying horses at Windfall Ranch, you can find her writing her own stories or researching on the computer.

Jeffrey

Jeffrey joined the Reins on Manes family in March 2010. As one of our newest students, we would like to welcome him and his family to our organization. Jeffrey’s unique perspective on life is inspiring in itself. Team members are delighted to interact with this young child, as his smile is truly contagious. Jeffrey keeps his family on their toes, but always with smiles on their faces. When asked about joining Reins on Manes, he assured his parents he wants to learn to ride a horse, “Because every good knight and cowboy does!”  Jeff is his family's charming “go-to guy” for dinosaur trivia, as he knows everything there is to know about his favorite animal, dinosaurs! Jeffrey is also a budding director, filming scenes with his dinosaur figures on Mom's phone. We hope that he will find a passion for horseback riding, building connections with equines and empowering him to reach his potential and share his unique gift with the world.
