Our Organization:

Reins on Manes is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization (filed/pending) dedicated to enhancing the way community youth interact with the world around them. Through active participation in basic horsemanship opportunities and unique interactions with horses and a team of equine professionals, children will develop personal life skills and enhance emotional development.

Reins on Manes has created a horsemanship program that inspires courage and confidence, and perhaps sparks or fuels a lifelong passion for equestrian living and dedication. With an understanding of the many challenges that face families, children, and adolescents today, the program is designed to inspire hope in their lives, to encourage them to excel, and to provide a fun yet safe atmosphere for kids to grow and develop.

Our Youth Horsemanship Series includes curriculum-based lessons and enrichment activities, providing children with a sound foundation in horsemanship as well as many smiles along the way. Children will participate in the grooming, care, and handling of horses, as well as riding instruction and mounted exercises.

Reins on Manes inspires children ages 03 – 21 in challenging circumstances living within San Diego County.

Acceptance into the program continues to be on an essay-entry basis.

Nominate a Special Child Today for this Program!

Award recipients will be scheduled to take horseback riding lessons at Windfall Ranch.

Children may also receive awards to participate in summer camps and enrichment programs.

Reins on Manes hopes for the support of local community businesses, individual donors, and fundraising by Reins on Manes team members and students.
